Piranha questions

Hello, this is my piranha, he is 5ish inches long and I don't know much about him being that I got him from a previous owner who dropped him off at my local fish store. I was wondering how old he is, what sized tankshould he be in, how much should he should eat daily, and why is he yellow with spots? Thanks

Your Pirahna looks like a young juvenile Redbelly Pirahna but not exact about the age in years. It would probably be fine in a 75gal for life. At its size you could feed it once or every other day if you choose too. The coloration possibly not a Redbelly and another species.

Tbh I think it is a Redbelly but the yellow color is throwing me off. When I raised Redbelly Pirahna the led for aquariums was not invented so possibly the light may be bringing out the yellow color.

Red belly piranha,most likely between 6months to just under a year old, fine in a 75 for life, looks a good looking fish
