Well my friend gave these to me awhile ago, he said he got them from Brazil when he was traveling. They are huge both over 16" long and 11" high! I believe they are black serrasalmus highback piranhas, anybody can tell what kind they are, along with any sugestions on how to preserve these fish? After shaking one of them lots of worms and flies came out!
Last pic is a 12" monster at a bar in Chicago my buddy was at!

WITH THEM BEING FROM BRAZIL IT'S POSSIBLE THEY COULD BE SOME BIG XINGUS.:cool-1: TO PRESERVE THEM I JUST PUT THEM IN A BAG WITH WATER AND THROW THEM IN THE FREEZER, BUT THE WHOLE FLY'S AND WORMS THING IS JUST NASTY

is it possible they can be the diamond kind because of the very highback?
Anybody else have any stuffed piranahs and Payaras to post up!

Not sure why you would put into water and freeze. I think I would talk to a taxidermist about them, he may be able to provide some suggestions. It looks to me though that they have already been preserved.

put em in a bag and freeze due to most people dont run out to the taxedermist haha, theres numerous ways to do it, but instead of cutting the stomach up removing the insides and using alcohol drying laquering, just pay the couple bux to have it done for ya, thats what i will do next outstanding specie that doesnt make it. had a 12" xingu die but when i got it back it looked bad..so opted against it, im sure there is alot of info on the net on a how to DIY, but im no surgeon nor would i wanna cut my own fish up even if dead :(
