i got a tank with some piranha in it and i have like 30 of those little snails every week that i have to kill or take out how do i get rid of them with out taking apart the whole tank.

Stop overfeeding or take out leftover food? Snails need something to feed off of so it's either a water quaility issue or left over food issue.

You can just crush them against the glass and the Ps might eat them. You can invest in assasin snails. You can do the ol put a piece of lettuce in over night and remove it in the morning trick. You can invest in clown loachs which your Ps will eat but maybe they get the job done first if you have a big enough tank. You'll still have the same issue though until you take care of the problem that's causing them to bloom.

^^^^thats the truth...

One other thing, I've heard of putting a piece of lettuce in an empty bottle with an opening large enough for the snails to enter, then leaving it over night, then removing the bottle with all the snails in it in the morning.

Yup Yup - plastic soda bottles with food - repeat daily til gone. Or remove the P's and let loose a Red Tail Botia or Vampire Pleco.

I will take all the snails you don't want.My GSP loves them. Just let me know. Jay
