somewhere close to you...
I just finished adding driftwood (I soaked for 5 days) and added some amazon spears to it and now the water is looking yellowish? Should I do a water change or could it be my Ammonia Levels?
My wood has been in the tank for about 3-5 days and the plants where just put in today...

I'm getting my water tested tomorrow but need to here some sound advice....

some people actually pick wood for these tannins to create a bio tope. it can look awsome given the right set up. im hoping to create an amizonian biotope myself and will be using tannins from wood to stain my water. bu cuz i use activated carbon in my internal and external filters i gotta replace the tannins ,myself as the carbon removes the colourings. oh and ammonia doesnt stain ytour water as far as i know.
