Piranha Tank

I am getting piranha in a couple of days i have my tank set up. All i have to do is put gravel or sand..which one would look better sand or black gravel?

That's up to you... depending on the type of gravel, it can look very good. Sand is always nice too... I say it's a personal choice.

I have both. I like black sand for piranhas.. or natural gravel.

id suggest u to search piranha tank images and find what setup u would like to see everyday.

I personally am getting black gravel for my tank down the road, it makes the p's look prettier in my oppinion

I dont have P's but I have black gravel and its great with color. I'd say black sand, amazing with showing its colors.

what's nice about sand is that when your ps are going crazy, it will lift up a bit and add a certain frenzy mood look to your hunt scenes. the bad side of it is that if sand lifts up too much, it will go in your filter and can do some damage. thats the reason why my local supplier gave me, its not based on prsonnal experience.he siggested me to put small gravel instead, which i did. it lifts a lil but not enough to go in your filter.

also, dark colors will make your ps look darker (which is considered to be good looking for a P). still, its a personnal choice.

I prefer sand myself. Black gravel is very hard to keep clean looking.
