I was trying to think of animals with feeding styles comparable to piranha but I don't think they're out there. Many animals hunt in packs, but no animals kill and consume prey with razor like bites taking chunks off right off larger prey animals. Most fish swallow prey whole, save for maybe sharks, but even then they usually attack small prey devoured in a single attacks. Hunting dogs and wolves swarm prey as well but tear prey with their teeth rather than excising chunks with each bait. what you think? parallels in insect world maybe

nothing compairs to piranhas they are one of a kind lol

Velociraptors, duh :screwy:. Haven't you ever watched them eat before? Gosh, get with it. :D

silver dollars when they munch on leaves

i think wild dogs would be an accurate analogy. Piranhas twist and turn their bodies when they feed to rip off chunks much like a dog. They also scavenge more than they hunt much like wild canines.

alligators, crocodiles, and monitor lizards usually rip large chunks out of their prey and swallow it whole.
