So I've asked in the past if a Hydrolycus Tatauaia (red tail payara, if u will) can be kept with a Ruby Red Spilo. I decided against it, seeing as how the payaras can't handle stress.. for their life. They're by far the hardest fish I've ever kept.. Buttt I'm determined to get one to a decent size before I give up on them. The one I own is about 6 inches.

I was presented an opportunity to buy a 4-5" Red Belly Piranha recently. Seeing as their personalities are much more skittish and less aggressive, do you guys think it'll be okay to place the two together?

Here's a picture of one of the RBP's for sale. Love the flames :D

No, pygos should only be kept with pygos and sometimes that doesn't even work. The rbp would nip the paraya's fins, or will eventually just kill the payara.

I'm with the other guys, don't do it if you value either one of them.

bigger fish always can always try to eat smaller fish, it's even game. when there's only an inch or two difference I don't see that happen, even the payara does try to swallow the rbp it'll probably chock to death.
