Hi all, I moved my piranhas from a 75g tank to a 110g on Saturday. They look very health, their color looks that best it ever has and the are swimming around a lot more than they did in their old tank. The problem is that ever since I moved them they have been hesitant to eat. I assumed they would be nervous until they adjusted to the new tank, but they are acting normal other than the eating issues. I am using the same food that in their old tank they would nearly jump out of the tank to eat, now it sinks right past their faces and they barely pay any notice to it. Am I making to much of this? Is there anything anyone would suggest to do or do I have to just wait and hope that they come around?

I would just wait until they get situated. It may take a while.

You said their color is great, so I would assume they are just getting acclimated to the move.

Yea their just acclimating to their new home, when ever I move my fish I don't offer food for a day or 2, and I feed them the day I move them, always works great! Just make sure tank stays cycled.

That's what I thought was going on for them, but I just was worried because it has been 3 days now.

How many red bellies are there?

I have 6 in there. I want to get a couple more, but I don't want to over crowd them. It is also hard to find them that size right now. The store I usually buy them from (aquascape, I noticed they are really popular on this forum) and they told me they are having a hard time getting piranhas in ever since the hurricane. I am just using that tank to get them by for a while.
