RBP can be real twitchy, so you want some cover for them, i used driftwood and anubis, gravel is really up to you, have used sand as well, a powerhead on one end for them to swim at and your on your way. Live food is fun not the healthiest. Talk to the deli manager at the grocery store and tell them what your feeding and ask for a variety of scrap or small fresh white meat fish, shrimp, prawns, stuff like that, and the occasional treat of beefheart.

125 gallons or 125 liters

125 gallons is fine.

125 litres is way too small for pirhanas.

they need the water volume as they are very messy fish...

:iagree: i have 10 red adults in a 125g and thats all i would put in there as theres just enough room for 10, you really need a bigger tank m8, 125l is fine for a grow out tank though untill you can find them a bigger home. Hope this helps, good luck

Hi Lee,

How many Reds you thinking about? have a look at the tanks in the Piranha section of MFK, they are some really cool set ups and loads of info. Good luck.
