The Land where Fish Rule!
So i have this pirannah and i cnt really figure out if its a redbelly of a piraya. It is probably 6 in maybe a hair smaller, it doesn't seem to have the rayed fin of a piraya, but its red coloring extended through the whole lower half of the body not just the chin area. In addation it seem to have the flame pattern with alot of red above the lateral line in some case 3/4 the way up the body. My camera is broken right now so no pics, but based on describtion what do you guys think? To me it looks most like a piraya, but the only thing is the fin. Maybe I am not looking at the right thing anyone have a close up of the fin? Or maybe does the rayed fin show up as he matures???

The right and left side of the iris have a hint of red and the top and bottom are black. Does that mean red- bellied? Because if it is it has way more red then I have ever seen on a red bellied. Some other things are its has a few very very light spots on upper rear, it seems to somewhat have the circular shape of a piraya ( perhaps a little more than the picture, but not as much as an adult piraya), it is some what metallic sparkly, and has a very underslung jaw with big teeth haha.

we cannot help id the fish unless we see a picture of your fish

That specimen in the picture is a piraya, the "flame" pattern goes above the lateral line in piraya. Would like to see yours.
