Hello,

well since i really like Pygocentrus piraya a lot i of course like to get me some for my 1200 Liter tank. But i also like to have some other fish around, so i'd like to hear if anyone ever has succesfully kept them with other fish without damages or the loss of live.

Of course only robust bottom dwellers can be consideres a suitable combination, so i was thinking about a megalodoras irwini and some big plecos - possible or doomed to reult in the loss of eyes, fins or the entire catfish .....

Greetings

Trial and error.

I would try some of the more common armored cats first to see what your pirhanas personality is like. it will most likely end in atleast a few dead cats

I would suggest you don't add anything too expensive or you are attached to, there's no guarantee how long any tank mate will last. even an other piraya could be killed by other tank mates.
