Well, when moving the fish to another tank the Leiarius pictus jumped out of the net and broke the barb on one side about half way down. I dont think it will grow back, will it?

I have had the barbels on Pimpictus Pictus grow back after injuries. I think it should be fine.

Don't worry; the only time I have heard of a whisker never growing back was when the catfish severed the whisker right at the base.

Damn, maybe I used the wrong words. I meant the barb on the side, like the thick hard one attached to his fin:duh:

I had a monster ornate bichir take a bite from my marmoratus and it's growing back nicely! love the unproportianally long whiskers on these things..

The spine on the pectoral/dorsal will not grow back. However, I doubt it'll be a fatal injury.

Thats what I though, figured it wouldnt, but he is doing fine so shouldnt be fatal! Thanks!
