From this last batch there seems to be a ratio of 3/4 barred 1/4 colored offsprings. Don't have any pix of the colored ones yet as I didn't keep any of the offsprings for myself, all are owned by friends and local club members. The few survivors were the lucky ones that actually survived being used as feeders.

Different male this guy is part of a pair, female looks exactly like him but with smaller hump.

What did the mother look like? I really wish I knew how the color changing gene was inherited. It's confusing.

The mother was a barred Midas and sister to my orange male. Out of the dozen or so originally purchased he was the only that turned colored.
