Placement of HOB filter?

Ok, I have a standard 55G tank and right now the filter is almost in the middle... I was wondering if I should put it on the side rather than where it is now... Are there any side affects of doing it? Will anything go wrong? Any information I need I want!!!

Also I could use other recommendations on where to put it at =)

I had always ran one on the right side of the tank and one on the back of the tank, I found it gave me better waterflow. No downfalls to it really.....

But remember I did this with 2 filters on my old 55(2 filters being key, don't know how well it would work with just 1)

yeah, should be fine in the middle. What filtration are you using?

im using a tetra 30-60 330 GPH flow so =/ yeah I have a total of 3 of them and I use 1 one each of my tanks

You should be fine I have mine paired up with an Emperor 400.
