Placement of second floor 100 gallon tank

I am looking to build a 72x18x18 (approx. 100 gallons, weight close to 1,000lbs) tank for a second story extra bedroom. So far I have heard that the tank needs to be next to load-bearing walls and perpendicular to the floor joists.

How close should the tank be to the walls? Would placing the tank close to a corner be better. The house is over 100 years old, but the same floor is currently holding a 400lb setup over a 3ftx2ft area, so I am not too worried...

This is the best solution since you may not know what size floor joist or how they spaced them.In general lumber from that time was a larger demension than today
