So I am needing to setup a 20 gallon aquarium that hopefully is temporary (3-4 weeks) but could be permanent. My question is can I put it on a tile floor? Will it crack or anything, please let me know

Thanks

On the floor is probably fine, but you could go buy (or find ;)) a couple cinder blocks and a solid piece of wood and make a quick sturdy stand.

Second time today I'll vouch for cinder block stands. I had my 55gal on one for years. Not pretty, but effective. Use playing cards to make it perfectly level if needed.

It's no real danger to the tank as long as it's level. It would be a PITA to clean though not being able to get much of any suction going with a siphon

to make less pressure to the bottom glasses, I use a EPs foam board( about 1/5'') put under the tank! you can do this and those thing should be very cheap!

I concur

i had a 20 on the floor and it was a huge pita to clean because i couldnt use my gravel vac but it never hurt my floor.

no, it's not too bad. I had a bunch only a couple inches off the floor when I was breeding a lot. I attached a power head to the end of the hose. then took another small piece of tubing and attached one end to the powerhead intake and one end to the gravel vac. Worked pretty well.
