Hey, this is my first thread on Monster Fish Keepers and i have never found a reason to post one but i have now... :(
I have a GSP and i breed physid and ramshorn snails to feed to my puffer (Twinkie). I got home from this horrid place called school to find that my breeding tank was covered in tiny thin white worms! I flipped out because i just had a new clutch of eggs hatch and there are baby snails everywhere. Will they kill my baby snails and the new egg clutches? I did some research on them and apparently they are known as Planaria?? Can anyone help me? I dont want to kill all of the baby snails and they are too small to pick out, and these are what i feed my puffer (other than bloodworms) . Is there a way i can safely remove all of the planaria? sigh...

All help is appreciated!

UV only kills what flows thru it, so it will only kill the planaria or snails that crawl into the UV light tube. There are plenty of fish that eat planaria, but finding the one that doesn't eat the young snails may be a problem. I know paradise gouramis (Macropodus opecularis) eat planaria, but don't know whether they also eat larval snails.
