I've had planarian worms for about two months. I've cut back feedings heavily, wiped them off my glass daily, did daily water changes & gravel vacs, used Cupermine (Copper), used Prazipro, and never yielded any results. Last week I ordered Fendenbazole which is a dog dewormer but they have "Fish Bendazole" I purchased from Amazon. I did my last dosage yesterday and ever since the first dose I haven't seen ONE worm so now 4 days after initial dose and 1 day since last dose and haven't seen any worms. I've done a lot of research on how to get rid of these harmless pests so I am writing this to save everybody their time and money! If you ever get these guys, buy this medication. Let sit 2 days after last dose then do nice water change/gravel vac because once the worms die off they will cause your nitrites to potentially spike (mine didn't spike so I guess it varies) & add your carbon if that's what you use. Just wanted to share my experience so if anyone ever comes across this hope I can help save you time and money :)

Over the years, I've tried every chemical concoction for these things except the one you've mentioned. Nothing ever quirks other than reduced feedings and clean water.

I've began to think having a population explosion, although unsightly, is a good indicator of overfeeding or an imbalance in my system. potentially an early warning sign of something brewing.

I've definitely written this med down, as I thought nothing short of ***ushima radiation could kill these things 100%. But after decades of dealing with them, I think I'm too used to them to resort to more chemicals

OP, not doubting you or the product, but from a completely personal standpoint, i don't really like using products to solve problems in tanks other than say for parasites in fish or certain diseases, since most of the time these products are only band-aid fixes to a problem waiting to happen again unless you fixed whatever was causing the problem in the first place...

Also, depending what you plan on keeping in your tank, i'm pretty sure stuff like copper can kill a lot of inverts and sensitive fish... so depending on ingredients, it may not be the best solution for everyone...

Yes they are harmless but I have a pair of F1 festae I was waiting to put in there to get their spawn on. I've done EVERYTHING possible. Nothing worked except for Fenbendazole, Conway recommended it from day 1 but since I could only get it online I tried other methods for the first months until I was just sick of seeing these worms all over my glass, my fish didn't eat them idk if it's because they're 5"-10" fish or what lol but it's goo going on a week now and not 1 worm has been spotted. I'm not a chemical person either just as a last resort. If you don't mind them more power to you, I couldn't stand looking at them though lol so if you ever get them, or any other worm, Fenbendazole all the way!! Merry Christmas guys!!
