Planiceps cat for £50

Hi i went to a new (new to me anyway) lfs today and they had a soribum planiceps catfish for under £ 50 appx $100 for the americans among us. is this a good price?
the fish itself is 4-5" long looks quite well nourished and happy.
I have a 6ftx2ftx2ft he can go in till hes big enough to deal with my rtc and clownknife.
I assume they like hiding places so i was thinking lots of plants and wood.
anything else i need to know.. I do realise how big they get and i have a tropical pond.
 
I wish i could find one !!!! I've been looking for around a year and none have popped up locally. Maybe its time for a mailorder run.

Thanks Zoo.....Let me know if they still have him. Its 155 miles away, I'm working tomorrow but maybe i can make it on sunday.Sounds like it may be time for a road trip. If you would, can you give him a thorough checkup and report back. Thanks much.....

So you traded your RTC for the Planiceps ??? Cool deal. Post some pics of the planiceps. George @ Shark Aquarium says he's gonna get me one, so i'll just have to wait.


SOMEDAY i'll own a Planiceps.
