Ok so I have a 110 gallon and it will be having a 80 gallon sump wet/dry filter TONS of bio media.

And im trying to figure out my stock for the tank, and also the plants and lighting i would like to use.

I'm thinking 8-10ish discus and somewhere between 7-14 cory cats.

I will be putting in Hybrid aponogeton plants and also java ferns, not sure how many yet.

I will be planning on getting a compact fluorescent light fixture.
It has the following:

96W CF Lamp 12000K
96W CF Lamp Actinic Blue
65W CF Lamp 12000K
65W CF Lamp Actinic Blue
+ Moonlights.
I dont know too much about light's for aquariums but is this a good light?

But yeah give me your opinions.

Is this the 110 that has the same footprint (four feet long, eighteen inches wide) as a 75? I have that 110, and I really don't like it! Because you don't get any extra length, territorial fishes, or fishes that become aggressive during mating, don't have the benefit of more square inches of real "space." I can only keep one pair of Angels in my 110, because I've tried two pair, and there's just not enough room, and they end up fighting. Might be something to think about with the discus. Also, Cories will come to the surface to breathe air if the water is not well-oxygenated, and often, at the bottom, there is less oxygen than at the top. If the tank is as tall as the standard 110, they run the risk of drowning, because it's so tall. My tank is well-oxygenated, and runs on the cooler side, so I don't have this problem, but if you're keeping the tank warm enough for discus, you may encounter this issue, as warmer water is less oxygenated than cooler water. I'd add redundant aeration in this tank, if you're going to keep the cories. Personally, I'd go with a 125 any day, over a 110. Just my couple of cents.

Actually its a 60 long by 23 tall and 18 deep. i really like the dimensions.

Oh, okay. Then that sounds great! Wanna trade? J/K. Just make sure to get the type of Cory that will enjoy the warmer water your Discus need. Good luck with your tank!

Lol thanks for the offer but id have to say no :p

Thanks a lot. (not sarcastically) lol. :)
