So I'm planning to overhaul my 30 and 45 gallon tanks!!! First will be my 30 gallon tank, which needs some work done to the stand because it's leaning to the back, and to the left. So I plan to reinforce the wood at the bottom of the stand so it no longer leans back, and then work to level off the tank. I plan to turn it into a low tech planted tank with the following...

Tank - 30 gallon (36"x12"x16")

Lighting - 36" Coralife Aqualight Dual Linear Strip T5NO 2x21w (6500k bulb, colormax bulb)

Filtration - SunSun Hw-302 canister filter

Heating - 200w Eheim Jager submersible heater

Substrate - 3" Mineralized Topsoil capped with 1/2" Flourite original planted substrate

Then I have my 45 gallon long tank which is currently running with fake plants and houses my sons betta which will go back into his tank when I get started on this tank. The plan is set this tank back up as a high tech planted tank with the following

Tank - 45 gallon long (48"x12"x19")

Lighting - 48" Mega Brand T5HO 4x54w (1 x 6500k bulb, 1 x colormax bulb, 1 x Wave Point Ultra Growth Wave bulb, 1 x Power Chrome Aqua Flora bulb)

Filtration - Odyssea CFS500 canister filter

Heating - 300w Hydor Theo submersible heater

Substrate - 2"- 4" Flourite original planted substrate

Co2 Injection system

EI Dosing + Osmocote Plus root tabs

So here's what the T5HO lighting looks like

So I'm currently trying to sell my 36"-48" Current USA Satellite Freshwater LED+ that was being used on the 30 gallon tank until I decided to tear it down, and fix the stand. Once I get it sold I can buy a couple 2x4's and get started on reinforcing the back of the stand, and trying to level the left side of the stand. Plus I can pick up a couple bags of Organic Top-soil to get started on mineralizing it for the 30 gallon low tech tank!!! Can't wait, all of this planning is getting me excited which is why I got into this hobby in the first place!!!!!!!
