Hello everyone, I've recently picked up a small group of 6 f1 geophagus sp red head tapajos and I'd like to stock their tank around them. The tank size will be 75 gallons until I can build a larger ply tank, so just keep that in mind for recommendations. I don't have any other live stock planned at the moment but I've settled on having only 2 extra species, a small cat fish and a small or medium fish that enjoys the top end of the tank.

So far I've seen a couple of compatible corydoras but haven't seen them with geophagus so I'm not sold on them, and also can't seem to find them locally. All suggestions accepted.

Lemon tetras are popular tapajos tankmates. There is a severum from their that is an Efasciatus type. Dicrossus maculatus, biotodoma cupido, and various pike cichlids can work. Crenicichla regani, tapajos 1 and 2, acutirostris, all can work. The first being a dwarf.

Excellent suggestions, will look into the least aggressive or smallest species in the bunch

Just wow at the cupid cichlids and the severum, the severum might get too big for my needs though. The various pikes from Rio tapajos may be a great addition for a smaller fast moving fish. If the tetras are indeed from the same region and I can find some I'll definitely use them, thanks again so much
