Im in the middle of convincing myself, that a small fish house would be a good little project to take on, i have just worked out the insulation of the fish house which is 9'5"x4'3"x7'4" ( that slopes to 6'9") so not massive but like i said a little project. I plan to have 6 tanks in there the dimensions of the tanks are 54"x18"x18" that i could divide into 18" cubes if i wanted to. they will be drained for the drainage system so 50% water change can be done with a turn of a valve and i also have a water storage and top up system again planned.
So the question itself, i have no experience in building tank stands or racks. I do not know what sized timber to use or what design to build to hold 3 tanks per rack. i have worked out that i could have a space of 7.5" between each tank, floor and ceiling for plumbing and maintenance but not allowed for timber size and such. I have pretty much got everything else planned but the racks themselves so im hoping you guys could shed abit of light on building racks with wood or any other useful tips on preparing to build or anything else it would be greatly appreciated guys.
Thanks in advance
Tom
