For a tank of that size (400) your looking at 600-700 Minimum. 600g tank would look more like 1k. that is IMO I have seen tanks cheaper(****ty) and Tanks nicer, bu its up to you. Thats just a ballpark. Good Luck.!
Milkman built a 450g that set him back $1500 when he was done. It developed a bad seam later on (within a year). He sold it at a huge loss.
A big tank is not what you want to start with. Build a smaller one for practice. That way, you won't feel bad if you have to haul it to the curb.

Acrylic is considerably more expensive than glass these days. A local window manufacturer will be able to quote you on prices for comparison
