Like I said, I'm planning for a 55g paludarium mostly for mudskippers. About 4 of them.
I'd like to try putting a few fish in the water part as well, just need some help planning this stocking. I don't know a lot of fish that would tolerate the brackish conditions other than Archers, Scats, Monos and possibly Mollies. I was thinking about trying an archer.
Then again, it'd be nice to have a school of Neons in there(assuming the mudskippers will leave them) but don't know how hardy they would be in these conditions.
Any advice would help

i think a lot of people keep mudskippers sp. only just cause they prey on other fish. duno about archers. would be cool if it worked

The one I'm keeping alone in the 20 gallon until this 55 is up has no interest in fish. Feeder guppies were the first thing I tried, and they just ended up as tankmates.
I was worried about the archer preying on a mudskipper, actually. But from what I read, they're not aggressive. I definately want to try it and may just be what I end up going with.

some archers can grow to the same size, as some mudskippers (of course it depends on both spp.) but you can get both that get to about 10" so maybe if equally sized, neither will become food

It also all depends on how we plan making the land for the mudskippers, because I don't want to be cruel to the archers as far as giving them ample space to swim.

you could just build up rocks on one side, or large floating plants/plants with leaves that rest on the surface. or both
