where the corruption never ends
Well, I'm planning to buy 5 angel fishes just to decorate my 50 gal tank. I want to learn how to take care of them like:

how much and how many times should I feed them?

what's the require tank for them?

what's their growth rate?

Do they breed like hell?

thats all.

you'd be best posting this in the angelfish/discus subforum
they reach adult size in just under a year,
i feed my pairs twice a day with flake and then bloodworm once every 2 days,
50 gal should be ok they need it like 18" tall,
if they pair off they spawn about once every 2 weeks and you feed the fry brineshrimp and liquifry, if you dont want fry just get some sort of catfish and it will eat the eggs.

try to buy even numbers with fish that get aggressive when they pair off. with odd numbers (except 1 obviously) you have the chance of pairs forming leaving 1 alone and taking punishment from all sides constantly. with even numbers you either get all pairs or 2 are left to share the beatings from the other pairs.
try and get all the angels at the same size and avoid the one angel that will look the most dominant in the lfs, it will either turn out to be a bully and kill any weaker fish or turn out so shy after being moved that it will probably be killed by a stronger angel. this is from my personal experience not from a book.

if it turns out to be like this then I'll feed those who are beated up to my silver aro, but I'll guess I have to give them to somebody. I'll just gve it a try anyway.

For juveniles, feed them 3-4 times a day. Make sure they can consume the foods within 5 minutes per meal. The more frequent you feed, the more water changes are required to compensate the amount of wastes produced however this does not mean you can overfeed as this can lead to health issues.

what's the require tank for them?
55g for a group of 5-6 juvenile angels.

what's their growth rate?
Growth rate is quite dependent on space and food availability aside from genetics. Most strains grow faster than others however expect some of them to remain small as they all grow due to competition for food. In this case, consider a spare tank to let them grow there. Most angels will eventually pair off as they become sexually matured by 8 months to over a year depending on the strain. This pair must be isolated once they begin to spawn or they will harass their other companions to death.

Do they breed like hell?
Yes and no. It depends on how you take care of them. Conditioning them with live foods will often trigger them to spawn. First time spawners may attempt to eat their eggs however all is not lost. You have to be patient over this. Most females even pair off and the eggs will not be fertile.

Just as an added note please start with gold, zebra, marble or koi strains. Avoid DD blacks which are quite fragile and are not often suitable for beginners.

This is my opinion but I do not like it when a fish has to be culled because it was beaten by another fish. Competition will naturally happen. Plan with your friends if they will get the fish. Failing that, get a spare tank or sell/give to your LFS but do not resort to killing it by giving it to your arowana. Your fish must be given a chance.

Yeah, I'm still thinking about buying anyway. I'm not that experienced in keeping small fishes but I'll try.

i had two juveniles but one died recently from an unknown illness. the other one is doing great. i feed him 3 times a day with flakes, got him three weeks ago and he has already grown about four millimeters. hes in a 30g long with two serpaes and one dwarf gourami. id say a 50g would be fine but get either 4 or 6

If you angels get big then the silver might not eat it. Silver will only eat angels when it's small. Lupin gave you really good advice. Follow her advice and the angels will be fine. The key is to get them to acclimate without stressing them too much. Get them to eat quick by feeding blood worms so that it ensure they will not go on a hunger strike.
