Hello. Currently have a 6x2x2 + sump with:

1. HBRTG aro (13")
2. 2x Cichla Azuls (6-7")
3. 1x Cichla Pleiozona (5-6")
4. 1x Cichla Orino (5-6")

Planning to get a tigrinus around 8-10" long soon.

I currently feed my tank MP and silver sides.

My only concern is, since the tig is a bottom dweller, do I really have to make all the other (5) fish full before it gets to eat something?
Or will it grab the food as it falls as well?

If this is a big concern, I am planning to train the tig to eat massivores instead since the cichla + aro aren't trained to do so and will refuse massivores.
Will it be hard for the tigrinus to be trained to eat massivores, given that it doesn't eat pellets, at its current size of 8-10"?

Thanks! Merry Christmas folks

Option 1 : make the fellow tank mates full first b4 feeding the Tig (u know u would be WC a lot due to the high bioload from making them full)

Option 2 : make the Tig take pellets. Yes it's possible but u would have to possess a heart of steel to starve your fish.

Option 3 (I would choose this) : throw in the food in 3 cycles; like when the mid eater dwellers namely your Pbass are chewing on the food.

Happy feeding :)
