I just set up one of my brackish fish tanks for mollies, they are known to love their veggies... can someone tell me what plant that could grow in brackish water?

If it's low end brackish java fern and java moss should be okay. If you just have mollies though I say brackish only makes more work than fresh.

You are definitely right that it's more trouble than fresh water, however mollies thrive much better in brackish water and I'm not running a low-end brackish tank, any other suggestions?

Mangroves Are one of the only plants that will thrive in brackish, but that won't give you mollies much in water foliage to eat. I would keep them in fresh and have a wider selection of plants. I know they might be a little better off in brackish but I have kept and bred them in fresh as well and i'm sure they'll be just fine.

hi, i want to start a brackish tank but need more infomations. can any one tell me the ph and the salt level (how much salt for a gallon) for it. thank you

algea!!!! they love it lol, java furn is tough and prob not the best to eat. you could allways gat a veggie steamer and steam lettuce, i did that when i was raising tad poles. my only molly is a friend of my GSP and eats algea and loves it.

My 55 gallon brackish is kept at about .005 and I have Mollies, Knight Gobies and GSPs. I have several plants that are thriving to say the least. (Unfortunately one of my thriving plants is hair algae :)) I have Wisteria, Bacopa, Jungle Val, Java Ferns and sometimes Anacharis and Java Moss. The tank has 108 watts T5HO, Marineland C Series 220, two 2-liters DIY CO2 and I dose dry ferts using the EI method with 50% weekly water changes.

The plants aren't too out of control in this pic but at times it gets crazy.
