Not to offend anyone... :D As i am not your excellent planted tank guru.. Or knowledgable past much more than the last couple readings in TFH and A little in a thread a while ago from Wyld Fya :) But I though i'd share about my Wally World plant that has grown 10" in 24 hours and 6" of that was from 4 pm til when i got home from chrurch at 10 pm .....!! It's just a low light bud from wally world.. And one stem is reaching more and more I can almost watch it GROW before my eyes >>>> Any way this was an awesome thing to me so i though i'd share :D

thats nuts 10 inches in 24 hours dammnn. thats almost like bamboo. take some pics~!

Yeah, I've had those in my 55 before. If you watch it closely when it is getting ready to break the surface of the water you CAN see it grow.

Howdy,

It would help to know what species you are talking about, and what part of the plant grew this fast. It is not uncommon that an inflorescence grows this fast to reach the surface. Is that what you are talking about?

Either way, your plants seems to be very happy :D

Post a pic

Eh, a plant guru could atleast name the plant they bought...

Um I think you missed something in my POST

Because that is exactly what i stated.. Read it again and you'll see i said i wasn't a planted guru

And the Plant is out the top of my tank now!! Thats another 10" over night!!! It's one of those Walmart plants like i said.. And i have no clue what they are.. I'll check on it..

Mind you My tank is 30 inches tall :)

I have a crinium(?) bulb that is growing at about 2" a day now. i'll have to trim it soon...

I'm sure it's a piece that shoots to the top and then flowers.. It was a bulb and it was floating at the top and growing till i did my water change.. Then i planted it in the sand and in the last 2 days it's shot a coupple stems toward the top.. One flowered but i it flowered while floating.. Now i believe the flowering stems are the ones that are shooting.. Like i said I am not very experienced with plants.. But as soon as i find my camera battery I'll let you guys identify it.. Though it shouldn't be too hard without one.. It is a WALMART package of bulbs :)

Is it a dwarve lilly of sorts? I have had them shoot pads to the surface overnight on me. Really cool plants!
Could be..The flower on it is like a white stem with little white flowerlike buds going up it and the flower is also about 3" long...
