Plant browning on top????

Hey

Question for your plant gods....

I have two anubias plant in a 10 gallon tank with a diy c02 system and 2 13 watt 6500k bulbs. They are currently getting brown sponts on the leafs on the top side. Is this normal?

I am also useing Flourish Excel and Flourish potassium about a cap full every other day

Are the brown spots the leaves, or algae? Post a pic if you can.

unfortunately I can't take pics since last fri I dropped my cell phone in a 5 Gallon bucket of water for the fish tank. Had it by my shelf were I keep my cell >_<.

I did try to scrap the brown spots off with my fingers and they go away. I guess I have to cut down my lighting. Right now I have it in 10 hour cycles. I forgot to add that my lights are about 1/4 inch off the rim of the tank. Right now the lights are just resting on some curtan rodes.
