I have a large plant i think its amazon sword in my tank and i have a large airstone is that a bad thing to have the airstone?

An airstone will allow for gas exchange in your tank. If you have a fully setup planted tank it's a bad thing, but if you are just doing low tech without adding co2 it won't harm anything at all.
