Plant decision help

Hi I have a 50 gallon tank with I believe 40 W of lighting and I want to get easy plants that will grow quick and also do I need a CO2 source in the tank if I have fish in it as well. what type of plants should I get thanks. Ps all the plants currently in the tank are fake I have never owned any plants.

I am just getting into adding live plants as well and have had good luck with Java Fern and Amazon Swords under a Flora-Glow bulb. Im looking to add some Java Moss as well...as soon as i can locate some. Good luck!

Hello; I have grown a lot of nice plants over the years without CO2. It seems as though it is a good enhancement to plant growth but is not strictly necessary. That CO2 can be added to a setup at any time is my take on it. I do plan to give it a try at some point.

Anubias, Java fern, Java moss all do well in low light and grow better attached to wood and rock
