Hi there I was wondering if someone could help me ID this plant- I’ve looked all over and I can’t seem to find anything similar. These are Petsmart specials and after doing some research I found that the last picture is lucky bamboo and should be removed from my tank:eek: wonderful! Anyhow what do you think?

Another victim of Mondo grass (Ophiopogon japonica ). Not a true aquatic plant. I bought the same plant when I was first getting into this hobby also. Toss it out before it dies.

Awesome thanks chonhzilla that’s what I was afraid of. This is my first shot at live plants so I guess you live and learn! I also got some Java Fern & Anubias so ill just keep my fingers crossed and hope those make it. Thanks again!

you won't have to worry about the fern and anubias those guys will just about flourish in almost any type of water as long as its warm. Good luck! if there was one thing i learned it would be to ask lost of questions.

the non aquotic plants will grow with there roots under water i have seen some tanks that have them in HOB filters and growing out into the room and they look pretty cool. just an option if you dont want to toss out the money you spent on that plant.

that is a pretty neat idea.

Thanks for the idea but im running a wet/dry- I don’t think I could put them in there with no light at all? I pulled them out and added them to one of those glass vase/ lucky bamboo deals that I got for a gift several years back-it’s a little over crowded but looks ok for now.

oOMO3NOo- Are you a WSU Cougar?
