So, I'm posting this tread to get some info on my future planted 180g. I'm wanted to know if there is any reason why this list of plants wont work together(if so why). I can get whatever lighting I need and if needed use CO2 but would rather not if possible. If there is something you don't like about the list or would change let me know I'm still picking them out and can easily change my list right now. :headbang2
Plants:
Java moss,
Amazon sword,
Echinodorus "red rubin",
Ludwigia Repens,
Anubias nana,
Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis,
Vallisneria Gigantea,
Alternanthera Reinechii.

I plan on have 4-6 Pygocentrus Nattereri and 1-2 Pygocentrus Piraya in the tank, let me know what you guys think

1.5-2 watts of Power compact or t5ho lighting in 6700-10,000k rating. And you should be good.

Also a plant substrate will help tons. I suggest flourite sand or gravel. I like the black but they have a couple of options.

Thanks Hybrid :) That was going to be my next question was about the substrate... I like the look of both the black gravel and sand, Which do you prefer/why?

The only thing that jumps out at me is the Alternanthera Reinechii. That stuff needs a ton of light, as I'm finding out right now. I've almost got it IN the dang light, but its getting pink again. If you put a big enough light on there to keep it happy & pink, I think your Anubias are gonna need sunscreen! I would say one or the other should be reconsidered, but I guess if you can shade the Anubias enough it will work... Just my 2 cents!
