Any plant experts here that can suggest a good plant to use in a brackish water refugium? I thought about slowly acclimating feather caulurpa over a period of about 3-4 days. Something that can grow in either non-live sand or crushed coral. And with 24/7 lighting. Appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Oh, and I have thought about mango but the roots get too wild and I dont want them creeping into my pump through the sponge foam cover.

From what I have read, Valesnaria (sp?), is supposed to do just fine in brackish tanks. The giant val/Jungle variety seems to be the one most often mentioned for this purpose. I have customers who pull it out of the bay to use in their brackish tanks. If you purchase it from your lfs, you may want to slowly acclimate it from fresh to brackish over a period of a couple of weeks. Then again, at well under $5, you may want to just throw it in and hope for the best. -Andrew
