My planted tank has an unusual problem. I have no oxygen pearls on any plants. I have pressurized CO2 through a DIY co2 regulator, flourite substrate, no air bubbler during the day, 650w pc, 135 gallons, pH=6.8, KH=7dKH, and Greg watson ferts. None of my plants will pearl. Anyone know why, or what I can do to encourage pearling?

Lighting isn't the issue.

I don't have a ton of experience, but I do have enough for comment and it must be something we're both overlooking. How often are you dosing ferts and doing W/C?

Any other surface disturbance during the day? From output of filter, powerhead ? Do you have a heavy bioload? I don't run an air wand at all, not even at night, and I've yet to see a problem with the fish gasping. How is the CO2 diffused (did I read a thread where you made your own)? Is the CO2 making its way all over the tank?

Very VERY minute amounts of surface agitation. Pretty heavy bioload. The reactor was DIY, it is posted somewhere in all that DIY stuff. CO2 is being diffused in a reactor run by an eheim 2026, and returned using a spray bar. Powerhead assists in moving the co2 farther across the tank.

It isn't ferts, and it isn't the wc schedule.
