plant question

just recently bought a plant that floats at the top, my senegal just starting hanging out there alot..is this usual? anything to worry about?

Nothing to worry about, it's a natural instinct for them to hang out in floating plants as youngsters, but even the adults seem to enjoy it so that they don't have to work so hard when they want to breathe from the surface.

So I guess it's basically being lazy

i like seeing my senegal balance itself on a leaf. makes him seem so light.

When my Senegal was younger (about 2-3"), she never came out of the plants that I had floating at the top.
Now, she's happily swimming around wherever she feels like, I rarely see her near the surface anymore.

I had an ornate I didn't see for 6 months because she was living in the plants by the surface only way I knew she was alive and in there was her food was gone in the morning-Anne
