I have a big shovelnose and i feed earthworms and pellets so the catfish will uproot my plants all the time what type of technique/suggestions do people have with keeping plants alive
They make little cones to put worms in that prevents them from going underneath your plants' roots. They attach to the tank wall with suction cups. I have only ever seen the small ones for blood worms, don't know if they make them bigger for bigger prey. Worth looking into though.
omg, thats an ingenious idea, its not even that my plants are getting uprooted but its horrible when the current in the tank pushes to worms somewhere where they're not easily findable for the fish. i need to figure out what one looks like!
But with shipping, it's going to be more. Maybe there are other things you could order from them, to make the shipping charges more worth your while. I've heard Big Al's is a pretty decent supplier.
