Well it's been some work but my 10 gallon planted tank is finally working out. I think the thing the pushed me into success was the co2 diffuser. My plants are all green and growing. I thought I was going to have a snail explosion but the betta has been eating the smaller snails and their eggs. My ammonia and nitrite are at 0 and my nitrates are holding steady around 10ppm. Last water change I did was about 2 weeks ago :-). I'm still fighting a little bit of algae but its not dominating the tank anymore. I might add a mystery snail because the current largest snails are pea-sized. Here are some pictures!
