hey guys, im gettin a 55 that was used for breding guppies...its a fully planted tropical with plenty of green...is this a bad setup for dwarfs?TIA

What dwarfs do you have in mind? It is fine for dwarf SAs such as apistos and curviceps. It is also fine for west africans including pelvicachromis, nanochromis and hemichromis (though hemichromis don't play nice).

ok so im tryin to decide between a dwarf cichlid tank and a discus tank.i really enjoy discus but am a lil worried i can only fit a few in there...the dwarfs i have no real pref on but love the colors, and know i can get a bit more dwarfs.its a 55 planted tank with an xp2 and plant substrate black.anyone have any good ideas for unique 55, and also maybe a few pros and cons on the discus vs dwarf debate...and how many of each do you think i could fit in the 55...

Im kinda in the same dilema. and am lookin at gettin 4 Ap. Bitaeniata, 2 Ap. Cacatuoides Triple Red and maybe a Ap. Viejita.
But I am also thinking about making a species tank.. Which one who knows?!?

[FONT=arial,sans-serif]You might want to consider Aequidens sp. ‘Atabapo’ fairly peaceful and stay on the smaller side. I just traded jim and mainlycichlids.com a bunch so you can pick them up there if you want.
