wat plecos will live good in a planted tank 25g that wiil eat algea and will not eat the plants though

need help
algea totally out of controlll and they are stealing my plants netrition:irked:

The key to eliminating algae like you're describing is through nutrient CONTROL. Ease up your bioload, increase your filtration, or just do more water changes. Adding another fish isn't the solution.

Once your algae IS in control, a birstlenose pleco or oto can help keep your plants looking a bit more tidy of nuisance algae. just don't expect them to solve the problem altogether.

Royal farlowella plecos look like pencils. Supposedly the BEST algae eateing pleco that wont eat plants in the world. I was going to buy one today but decided not to.

Find the root of the problem, and fix that. Don't worry about the pleco right now.

I agree. Less light, no direct sunlight, low nitrates etc.

I would say that an Otocinclus is your best Loricariid for the job, not a pleco.
