I've had planted tanks for years. One time i went on holiday for 6 weeks, the only devices in charge or running my tanks were my trusty old light timer with 3 x 20w life glow bulbs. & a very horrible (cheap) auto fish feeder, fluval 104 running full time.

FISH;

2 SEA'S
2 DWARF GOURAMI (GIRLFRIEND'S)
2 BRISTLENOSE CATS
20x neon tetra school (previously deceased due to n.t.d)

Brace yourself, here are the results of the fish feeder dumping 6 weeks of food within the first few weeks.

awww man
thats bad,really bad
what happened to the fish ?

ok i am never gonna buy a cheap auto feeder

the fish survived, they were pretty messed up, darting around and never came out of hiding for a week or so.

it's just disapointing after all that work we put in, you know.

here's a pic of the tank there in now.

by the way i never use any kind of co2, just minimal surface aggitation.

oh wow thats a shock. Is it because the feeder was crap and like you said dumped so much food? wow no deaths? man, I feel terrible. The tank above looks nice though, although its a shame you suffered such a loss. I get so paranoid with my tank (no cool plants like you) I would have paid someone to run by my house and check on them if you were gone for 6 weeks. Im not blaming you at all,or bashing you, dont take that badly. Im sorry for your loss thats a shame :(

man...thatz a real bad patch to go through...glad that u were able to get your tank back up and running after such a heart-wrenching loss of all the hardwork u put it...btw, is the third pic of the tank in its current state (after u redid it) cause if it, man it looks really beautiful.

SLIGHT UPGRADE FROM 90L TO 300L.

I HAD TO BUY ALL NEW PLANTS, SOME OF THE FISH BECAME WEAK AND DIED FROM WHITE SPOT A FEW MONTHS AFTER. A REGRETFULL ANUBIAS PURCHASE FROM A DODGY LITTLE SWEAT SHOP FISH SHOP, CAUSED THE WHITE SPOT.

I ENDED UP LOOSING
2 SAE'S (3 YEARS OLD)
3 CLOWN LOACH
1 DWARF GOURAMI

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME,
THE PLANTS HAD ROTTED AWAY, NOT DRIED UP AND FALLEN TO THE BOTTOM OF A STREAM TO DECOMPOSE, THERE'S A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE THERE.
YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT ADEQUATE WATER PARAMETERS
