Planted tank newbie

hey guys!
i recently got some stuff to set up a new planted tank.
this what i have so far:
20 lbs of eco complete
about four zebra rocks
and a 8000k 18" light fixture to maintain plants.
I'm going for an iwagumi setup and I would like to know where i can get dwarf baby tears around Socal. Also, with this kind of setup, will Carbon dioxide be necessary?

I don't use CO2 in my planted tank. At all. Ever. All my plants grow fast.

I think http://www.liveaquaria.com/ has what you need. They are Cali based too.

You definitely need CO2 for HC...don't let anyone tell you other wise.

can you give me tips on making a diy co2 reactor?
i epicly failed on the last one i made. it released the yeast and sugar into the tank even if i had check valves.

Only fill the bottle half way up... that way this won't happen.
