Is there enough floride in city water (lake michigan, chicago) to harm plants in the aquarium? Has anyone used city water in there aquascape? Thoughts..

I live in Milwaukee and have Lake Michigan water for tap. Lake Michigan before treatment contains about 0.9 ppm Fl in straight lake raw water, and the water company add about 1.3ppm Fl in the form of fluorosilicic acid . I do small daily water changes in my tanks with straight tap water, only dechlorinater added.
Here are a couple of my tanks.
My Astatatheros tank

My Lake Barumi mbo tank

I also have some planted sumps, with bog type plants

I'm in schererville and have no problems.

I had a banana plant, ludwigia, and anubius and none of them survived. The gravel is pea gravel from a local garden center. The light stays on ten hrs. A day. I will try to get a gro-lux bulb and see if that works. Thanks for the feedback!

Ten hours a day right away could be your very problem! Plants adjust to their environments just as fish do. When switching to a high output lighting system from a duller system and keeping the time consecutive will often make the plants wilt and die. Try keeping them on for shorter periods as in two hours a day and every 2 days extend it an hour. I killed a fair amount of plants before finding this out.
