hey guys i am Varun from Mumbai India and this is my first post in the forum i would really need your help cause i am really confused whether i should add my SHVFSR(spoon head voilet fusion super red)to a planted tank.My main cause of confusion is related to its health i.e will it cause any infection to the fish i am already decide to add a aqua-one uv filter along with it.Would really appreciate your comments and suggestions

A planted tank is great for arowanas. I have had a few that would rip out plants but most don't. They look great above plants. There is not any more of an illness risk then in your other tanks.

I had very bad experience with my rtg in a planted he ripped everything off and later developed a fungal infection can u recommend any variety of plants that could be used

The fungal was a result of possible scratches from the activity. I highly highly doubt it came from a plant.

I use swords, java ferns, hornwort, any legal type of milfoil, coontail, other misc rooted stem plant. I also like duckweed, hyacinth and water lettuce. The list is basically any plant you want. Most aros won't rip them out.
