I have a ten gallon fish tank that I've turned into a planted tank. The reason I converted the tank was so that my dwarf puffer would have a better tank, however he mysteriously died and now I have no idea what to do. I would scrap the tank, but I'm getting college credit for creating a planted tank journal, but I really dont think I can keep up with the journal unless I have something live in the tank. I've been searching for a new fish but nothing really seems interesting, I'm more of a one fish per tank kind of person. anybody have any interesting small fish they've really enjoyed? Right now its between a beta and a shell dweler. But i'd like something a bit more interesting

You could try a native? Go check your rules and regs and then net some cool little fish that arent protected by the law. Or a rough fish...something you cant get into trouble about. There are lots of awesome minnows that no one knows about.

crs or tiger shrimp or some shrimp

well i'm still doing the planted tank thing so native fish wont be able to survive in the tank, its gonna be too hot.
Those are some good suggestions, I'm definatly doing some form of shrimp in the tank.

I am doing the same thing old left over tank going planted. Looking to do cherry shrimp and myabe some tetras or because of somone on this thread maybe cherry barbs.
