i know that corys are great in planted tanks. i have 6 in mine. im not sure about the rest, so i wont give u advice on those.

the most important thing in a planted tank is light!! i would advice u to stay over 2watts/gallon, but if u go over 3watts/gallon u may get a bit of algae.. in that case i would highly recommend making a DIY co2 reactor. it cost about $5 and u can use an airstone to diffuse the co2. i also recommend a light between 5500K - 10,000k. i prefer 6700K

substrate is also another thing u need to consider. i recommend eco-complete or flourite/onyx. there's lots of other ones too! u can also make ur own. u can use regular ''inert'' sand or gravel but then u might need to use root tabs. some plants can only attain iron via roots systems.

next is fertilization, some plants require fertilization to really get any results, the same goes for c02. however, there are plenty of plants u can choose that don't need either!!

i would suggest going through this and choosing plants that are right for u!

make sure to read all the stickys!

also heres a link to my own planted tank, im hoping u can use some of my own ideas and learn something from it as well. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=251099

this will seem like a lot of info all at once, so i will stop here for now. if u have anymore questions please do not hesitate to ask.

good luck

I don't think dwarf gouramis and tiger barbs would go together, the tiger barbs might bite on the tails and fins of the gouramis...

You should put some tetras, neon tetras for example!! :)
