what exactly do i need? and what kind of plants should i get? common names please

Local plants can often be used, also plants such as bladderwort and willow moss.

Cold water plants have the same requirements as tropical plants. As for plants, most online vendors offer cold water plant packages. You can get the names from those.

My planted tank is at room temp(no heater), and I trim weekly and everything has nice full leaves. I do use ferts and co2. I currently have hygro, a couple different anubius's, a couple different java ferns, tiger lotus, a couple different amazon swords, crypts, bacopa carolinia, ammania gracilis, dwarf ammania, and ammania rotundifilia. All grow great. The tank is currently at 72 deg F. Just see were your tank settles at room temp. If you want to pay for shipping in about two months(when it warms up a lot) I'll send you some good sized start from all of them.

That depends on how much light you have and how often you fertilize.

do i need to inject the tank with co2?

I'm having a lot of fun with a DIY system! My results have been disappointing however due to the fact that my Wet/Dry filter is dissipating all the CO2 out of the water. ;( Looks like it will be becoming a Dry/Dry filter in the garage soon.
