So I want to put some bamboo in my 55 gallon. I know bamboo isn't submersible, and I want to have it growing out the top of my tank. What is the best way I can go about doing this without blocking the light to the rest of my plants?

I was actually looking at growing it out a lot and then moving it somewhere else in my house. My Dad said he wants a lot of bamboo around the house and I need a huge reduction in Nitrates in my 55, so it's a win-win for both of us.
In my experiences with bamboo OUT of an aquarium setting, it preferred being in water with indirect light. I suppose it would would be fine for a tank so long as it wasn't directly under the light
