I am wanting to start planting my 30 gallon. But idk how to do this. So will u guys help me get started. For a substrate should i use miracle mud of pfs( i have a close pool store). And i might put crayfish or something in there. Maybe some cardinals and corries.

I'm not sure how well a crayfish will work with cories.

if you want a planted tank, I would not put crayfish unless they are a dwarf species. What sort of lighting are you intending and what level of commitment do you want (high tech, co2, ferts or low light)?

What are some good low level light plants i can get. Idk how to figure out wht level mine is. And can i use pfs as a substrate for plants.

any help will be appricieted....

What is the lighting you have now (how many watts of what type of light)? Its hard to make suggestions without more information.

At the top of the planted section are tons of sticky's with plant profiles and basic information you could browse through as well.
